My first series of memory of Robin Williams came from the Jumanji. I recall watching the movie from a rented CD when I was 10-years-old(ish). When I watched Jumanji, my subconscious mind admired him at the first sight right away. His notable smile and laugh lingers on my mind from that moment until now.
My first row of Robin Williams movies are Patch Adams, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Bicentennial Man. Not much, I know, but watching those movies made me really respect and appreciate him.
Until three days ago, when I found out he passed away. Suicide. It broke me a little. And I keep asking to myself "why?". He was a great comedian, a great actor, and he brought laughter to the world. How come a man that made other people around him -- the world -- feel happy, being suicidal?
When I read the news and it said that Robin Williams was depressed, I was speechless. I can't think of other things but why.
Robin Williams brought joy and laughter to me as I grow up. Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire, Patch Adams, Hook, Bicentennial Man, Jack, Night At The Museum, RV, Old Dogs, and Dead Poets Society. Not to mention his latest sitcom; The Crazy Ones. (The review might not be that good, considering the show got canceled after only one season, but I really enjoy watching it.) And it breaks my heart that he didn't feel the same amount of happiness he brought to the world.
Rest In Peace Robin Williams
